Background: I have licensed copies of AnyTxt installed on two machines (a ThinkPad P52 and ThinkPad E560), one running only Window 10 and the other running only Linux. The problem below happens on both of them, and I see in the forum that this problem has existed (at least for some users) since 2022.

Whenever I reboot the computer, AnyTxt deletes its existing index and starts a new one. I have over 200,000 documents so reindexing takes days (and, see the next post I will make, never completes).

Because this problem happens on two different computer models running two different operating systems, it has to be a bug in the program. It is a long-standing problem that (at least for me) makes AnyTxt useless. If I can help you with debugging, contact me by email – this seems to be a great program if it can get over this hurdle.

    Hello.

Which version of Anytxt are you running?

After restarting your computer, are the previously indexed data sources still present?
