Upgraded to latest version and it proceeded to scan every drive connected to my computer……i have large work drives mounted which caught the attention of my IT department 🙁

I just need to use this to scan 1 folder not EVERYTHING. I just need to scan snippets of code so i can use them. IS this possible? i couldnt see these options anywhere

Hi, you can set the index rules by “Options”->”Index Manager”->”File Type”

That restricts file types to scan not directories or drives

Hi Michael. You can change them via Options->Index Manager->Index Rules

Here it just NEVER stops, Taking 12gb Ram, Running for +5 days.

There is only 10000 PDF in the File index manager.

We need some ideas of what the indexer is working on.

If you choose all files type (you can do it all at once) and then specify a directory to be included (or excluded) you have the result you need (index manager->Add-Browse-Directory)

    Initial menu

    Index manager->index ruless->add->Browser->Directories” width=”457″ height=”612″ />

Hello, does your PDF are all scanned images without any text?

Seems extra powerful to scan and index the WHOLE disk… Congrats!
I guess searching the WHOLE disk is actually not that often…
Most of the time, you know the root folder to start searching from…
A too large scope leads to THAT MUCH results you can’t analyze…
Would really be great, leaving as is, just to be able to SAVE a search (including starting folder) not the search result, just the search options, and restart with this last search next time.
    Would gain TONS of time
In addition, selecting a folder requires to click on ellipses “…” besides the main search field, not that intuitive…

    Hello,Pierre.

The indexing rules will be optimized in the future.

Thank you very much for your suggestion.
