GuestHi,
Thanks for the app. Having recently switched from the Mac OS (which has a great built-in search) to Windows I was surprised at how bad the Windows built-in search is. I rely on being able to search words within documents so it’s great to have found AnyTXT Searcher.
I have a request. My guess is that lots of your users, including me, use LibreOffice so it would be great if you could add the ability to search .odt files.
Also, is there any way to make AnyTXT Searcher open like other apps, i.e. open without running the installer every time?
Thanks again,
Lee

KeymasterHi, Lee
Anytxt is committed to be a leading free desktop full-text search tool.
The first, Anytxt has supported LibreOffice and OpenOffice and all ODF file formats, but you need to add a LibreOffice document with Tools -> Index Manager -> File Types, then you can search it.
Second, ‘without running the installer every time’, we are optimizing it, you will meet this feature in next version.
Thank you.

GuestI have windows 8.1 , the search engine is very good, thanks. It does seem to hang up Adobe Reader. When I select an line item that is a .pdf , then try to go use it, I can not open any pdf files. If I click on any pdf (out side of anytxt) is just does not open. I check task manger and see many acrobat32 running (when ever I click a pdf it launches another) but Adobe Reader will not work until I exit anytxt and kill all the current acrobat32…
