GuestThe drive is indexed, but anything I search for comes back saying “0 files in X seconds.” Have uninstalled and reinstalled. Rebooted. Fiddled with settings. Used prompts for the whole drive and specific folders. Run as administrator … you name it. Plain and simple, the software does nothing at all. Windows 11.
Any ideas?

ModeratorHello.
Which file formats cannot be searched? Can txt files be searched?
Rick
GuestThe software says the drive is indexed. When I look at the “File Index Manager” I can see that thousands of files of various types are listed as indexed. But any search query of any kind for any type of file returns zero results. I can put a bunch of text files in a folder, tell it to index that folder, search for files names I know are there, and it still returns zero results. I have tried installing it on two computers (work and home) and I get the exact same behavior on both.

GuestHello, searching the file name doesn’t make sense. Have you tried just inputting the TxT-Word content in the file?
Rick
GuestNothing I put in the search box returns any results, regardless of what it is, regardless of where I ask it to search. Plain and simple, it doesn’t do anything. This is the case on both my home and office PC.
Not a huge fan of continuing to pay for Copernic, but it works.

GuestI see the same problem with 1.3.152. It claims indexing complete but there are only large .atc files and the .ati files are all 72 bytes. In previous versions the .ati files were the real index. Also, the .atc for my drive M (main data drive) is only 2GB when the index for that drive is usully 6+gb. Looks like bugs to me
Rick
GuestRight now the link downloads 1.3.1517 which works like a boss. Looks like a weird bug in a new version that was recently posted.
