Maximum Search Material Size?

Hello,

I have downloaded AnyText and enjoy it very much, it is extremely handy when trying to find example quotations from the books I have downloaded.

I would like to know if it is possible (has it been tested?) to search a very large quantity of files. I have the entirety of Libgen Fiction downloaded (approximately 3,000 folders each with 1,000 books – about 4 TB of books) and when I add the folder as an index location, it says ‘Loading Drive B: Index Database’ but seems to give up, I don’t see any activity on Task Manager (as it normally does, reading through all the files).

Do I just have to wait a really long time, or is there a maximum number of files the search can handle?

There is no upper limit to the number of files that Anytxt can handle.

Please try to create index and search for files.
