Not searching inside scanned PDF

This is an excellent app!

However, for me it does not seem to be searching inside a scanned PDF. The PDF is a bit big in size, about 400 MB, and around 3000 pages. Obviously, it has pictures of textual content which haven’t been previously OCRed.

All other files are being searched perfectly by Anytxt, and the indexing already shows a green tick.

Do you mean AnyTxt (OCR version) has been updated in the past one day, and I need to re-install?

Just for your information, I tried a second scanned pdf sized 26 MB but that also failed.

Then I tried a third scanned PDF sized less than 1 MB, and that was successfully searched.

It seems that there is something to do with the size of the scanned pdf.

Version 1.3.1380 Free (as shown in the app’s Title bar; and Help menu>About)

I downloaded it two days ago from your official website’s Download page, from the Mirror section, because Sourceforge (Master) was not working for me at that moment.

Hi Abbie. I updated, as you suggested. Here are the results.

Following formats are NOT working in the latest Anytxt Searcher OCR ver 1.3.1517:

1. chm
2. fb2
3. scanned pdf (small sized)
4. mobi
5. gif

The first four (i.e. chm, fb2, mobi, and scanned pdf of a small size) were working perfectly in the old version 1380.

Yes, it shows a green tick, in the top-right corner of the app. ✅

After updating the index, “scanned pdf” format has mysteriously started to work again. But Anytxt is searching in only small sized scanned PDFs, NOT large ones.
