The AnyText Searcher application currently has two major usability issues that hinder its effectiveness and user experience:
Search History Loss: Every time the application is reopened, it fails to remember the search history from the previous session. This means that users cannot quickly access or refer to their recent searches, leading to inconvenience and reduced productivity.
Inability to Customize Search Path: The “Specify Path” feature in AnyText Searcher does not allow users to customize the search directory. This limitation becomes particularly problematic when users need to frequently search within a specific directory. Without the ability to set a default search path or easily navigate to frequently used directories, users are forced to manually locate the desired directory each time they perform a search, resulting in a cumbersome and time-consuming process.
I hope that AnyText Searcher should retain the search history even after the application is closed and reopened, allowing users to quickly access and reuse their previous searches. Meanwhile, the “Specify Path” feature should provide options for users to set a default search directory and easily navigate to frequently used paths, enhancing the efficiency of the search process.
简要中文:anytext searcher在每次重新打开后不会记住上一次搜索的历史,”指定路径“无法自定义,导致如果需要频繁对某一个目录内的内容进行搜索会非常麻烦,建议开发者提供”记住上一次搜索“的功能。
AbbieModeratorHello,friend.
Anytxt contains the features you mentioned.
Which version are you using?
Thank you.
XN TangGuestThink you for your reply. I’m using the newest version (1.3.1380). I noticed that there is a “Custom Directory” option, but the software does not remember the path I set after I quit the program.
AbbieModeratorHello.
After our testing, this version contains save search history feature.
The “Specify Path” feature in Anytxt Searcher allow users to customize the search directory,
Please copy and paste the path you need to search.
Thank you.
XN TangGuestThanks for the helpful reply. Now I find the right way to make the software remember the custom directory. Usually, I press the “plus sign” button to choose the search directory, and the file type. However, I just close the software after finish the search. If I additionally press the “minus sign” button, the software would remember the history search directory.
AbbieModeratorOk,friend
Thank you for your feedback.
