Hi, on Windows 10 laptop, every time when I start (double click on the icon on desktop) the AnyTXT Searcher, the Win10 “User Account Control” popup dialog asks” “Do you want to allow this app to make changes to your device? and inconveniently it is shown on the 2nd monitor. This is annoying when on travel with only the laptop display available. It was behaving OK many months, then an all of the sudden this is now the case. Moving it first back to 1st monitor and then clicking OK does not help. I have several other SW that trigger the UAC and they do not behave like this. Please help me…
adminKeymasterHi,
1.Locate the desktop link or shortcut that you want to modify.
2.Right-click on the desktop link and select “Properties” from the context menu.
3.In the Properties window, navigate to the “Shortcut” tab.
4.Look for the “Advanced” button and click on it.
5.In the Advanced Properties dialog box, you should see a checkbox labeled “Run as administrator” or something similar. Uncheck this checkbox.
6.Click “OK” to save the changes and close the dialog boxes.Wilder GoodfindGuestHi, thanks, but it does not make the UAC prompt to go away. It was in “Run as administrator”, then I took the check mark away and applied that, then I re-enabled it again, no change. I must have done that just after installation, the issue only came up when moved the UAC popup to the 2nd monitor and pressed “Yes” there.
Also, changing system setting first to “PC screen only” or to “Duplicate”, does not help. With “Extended” displays settings, moving first the UAC prompt to 1st monitor does not help either.
AbbieModeratorHi, please upload your screenshot or operation video so that we can further analyze it.
Thank you for your feedback.
