Will the complete index be rebuilt when the software gets updated?  This update was just some minor right click to show files, but it appears to have to rebuild my 1.5 Gig index….
Can it not keep the old index or will it have to rebuild with every software update?

Hi, of course, not every upgrade will rebuild the index.
Your index is rebuilt this time, because we optimized index this time, so it needs to be rebuilt.
