I have a 4TB USB drive M: always attached to my system. I put the index directory on that drive M: as well as most of the files I want to index. Anytxt will work well for hours but then fails with an error message at the bottom of the AT window informing me that drive M: does not exist. But M: is still visible to other applications. To recover from this state I have to reboot and tell AT to Reindex,.

    Is this expected behavior?

    Thank you.

I misspoke in my earlier post. M is a 1TB SATA SSD. The 4TB USB drive is not a factor. And it is more puzzling to me that Anytxt intermittently loses sight of M:. This system is running windows 11 Pro and has 32G RAM.
