GuestWell done on a wonderful utility – I’ve found Anytxt Searcher to be the most effective desktop search application I’ve used so far, capturing more search hits than similar utilities I’ve tried before and being far more stable, having none of the crashes and ‘out of memory’ errors I’ve encountered with large files and folders in other apps. However, you don’t explain in your website what the difference is between the two downloads – Anytxt Searcher and Anytxt Searcher OCR. Does Anytxt Searcher *not* capture OCR text in PDF files, or would I have to use Anytxt Searcher OCR to do that? Thanks, and keep up the good work

ModeratorHello,Sabri Zain.
The OCR version can be used to search for text on images, including scanned PDFs (can’t copy text from PDFs)
Thank you for your feedback.

GuestThanks for the clarification. I’ve uninstalled the original version and replaced it with the OCR version. It was a huge relief the OCR version still uses the original index files and I didn’t have to start indexing from scratch!

GuestWow! I’ve been a systems integrator since 1977 and have rarely seen a program like AnyTxt that WORKS, smoothly, in the background without fuss or muss.
I am anxious to try the OCR version.
Simple question: I am beginning to use BleachBit as CCleaner has turned into a piece of snooping snot. I do not wish to eliminate the index file. Any help will be appreciated.
