fails to read some files

Is finding search text in some files in my target directories, but other files are being missed out. “The file … may be opened in exclusive mode by other process, Anytext can no open it to read. Please try again later.”  But I’ve tried again later, and killed any other processes which might be interacting with the files in question, and rebooted, and re-indexed Anytext. Twice. No improvement. Suggestions?
