Hello,
basically the question comes down to when and where the search index is created and stored.
Given the following scenario as example:
– There are 3 PCs who can all access the same Cloud/NAS system. The first 2 have Anytxt installed. The last one doesn’t.1. The first PC which has Anytxt installed runs and creates the index for this storage system.
2. When the 2nd PC (also with Anytxt installed) now accesses the same storage system. Does it need to re-index everything or can it somehow access the already created index from PC1?
3. PC3 (without Anytxt) now arbitrarily changes some files on the same storage system. Would Anytxt on PC1 need to check all files for possible changes or does it somehow notice which files got changed/added/deleted and only re-indexes these?Sorry for the long text. Would very much appreciate an answer. Thanks!

You can copy the index to PC2

For this application, e.g., 30 PCs use the same network directory, and want to AnyTxt search this directory without the need for 30 computers to maintain an index locally.
Is AnyTxt intended for this type of distributed architecture? I notice the screen shots on the anytxt splash page include a html interface. Can other users search the index from a url rather than installing AnyTxt?
